👩‍🍳 How to make Yak Meat and Split Pea Stew

  1. Rinse split peas; drain
  2. Heat oil in pot to 75°C
  3. Add onion, ginger; fry 2-3 mins until fragrant
  4. Add meat; cook 5-7 mins until browned, stirring occasionally
  5. Add split peas; stir 1 min
  6. Pour water; add turmeric; bring to boil (100°C, 3 mins)
  7. Add garam masala; reduce heat to low-medium
  8. Simmer covered for 35-40 mins
  9. Stir occasionally; peas should break down; meat should be tender
  10. Season with salt and pepper
  11. Garnish with cilantro
  12. Serve hot (above 65°C)
