👩🍳 How to make Yak Meat and Split Pea Stew
- Rinse split peas; drain
- Heat oil in pot to 75°C
- Add onion, ginger; fry 2-3 mins until fragrant
- Add meat; cook 5-7 mins until browned, stirring occasionally
- Add split peas; stir 1 min
- Pour water; add turmeric; bring to boil (100°C, 3 mins)
- Add garam masala; reduce heat to low-medium
- Simmer covered for 35-40 mins
- Stir occasionally; peas should break down; meat should be tender
- Season with salt and pepper
- Garnish with cilantro
- Serve hot (above 65°C)
