👩‍🍳 How to make Turnip and Meat Stew

  1. Heat oil in large pot to 75°C
  2. Add onion; fry 4-5 mins until light golden (75°C)
  3. Add ginger, garlic; cook 2-3 mins until fragrant
  4. Add meat; cook 8-10 mins, stirring frequently until browned (85°C)
  5. Add turmeric, garam masala; cook 1-2 mins
  6. Pour in water; bring to boil (100°C, 3 mins)
  7. Add turnips and optional green chilies
  8. Reduce heat to low-medium
  9. Cover; simmer for 35-40 mins until meat is very tender
  10. Turnips should be very soft
  11. Season with salt and pepper
  12. Simmer another 5 mins to blend flavors
  13. Garnish with cilantro
  14. Serve hot (above 70°C)
