👩‍🍳 How to make Thukpa with Yak Meat

  1. In a heavy pot, heat 1 tbsp butter over medium-high (70°C)
  2. Add onion, ginger, garlic; fry 3-4 mins until golden (80°C)
  3. Add diced yak meat; cook 8-10 mins, stirring frequently until browned (90°C)
  4. Add turmeric, garam masala; cook 1-2 mins
  5. Pour in broth; bring to rolling boil (100°C, 5 mins)
  6. Reduce heat to medium; add vegetables
  7. Simmer covered for 25-30 mins until meat is very tender
  8. Add noodles; stir to separate
  9. Cook 4-5 mins until noodles are tender but retain slight bite
  10. Season with salt and pepper
  11. Stir in remaining butter
  12. Serve hot (above 70°C), garnished with cilantro
