👩‍🍳 How to make Lentil and Spinach Dal

  1. Rinse lentils; drain
  2. Heat butter in pot to 65°C
  3. Add onion, ginger; fry 2-3 mins
  4. Add lentils; stir 1 min
  5. Pour water; add turmeric; bring to boil (100°C, 3 mins)
  6. Reduce heat; simmer partially covered for 15-18 mins
  7. Lentils should be very soft and breaking down
  8. Stir in spinach; cook 3-4 mins until wilted
  9. Lentils should create creamy dal
  10. Season with salt
  11. Serve hot (above 65°C), garnished with cilantro
