👩🍳 How to make Khambir Bread with Butter
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl
- Dissolve yeast in warm water; let sit 5 mins until foamy
- Make well in flour; pour yeast mixture
- Knead for 10 mins, adding 1 tbsp butter gradually
- Cover with damp cloth; let rise 1.5 hours until doubled (around 25-30°C ambient)
- Divide into 8 equal balls
- Flatten each ball to ½ cm thickness
- Heat iron skillet (tawa) to 70°C, coat lightly with butter
- Place bread on hot skillet; cook 2-3 mins until golden spots appear
- Flip; cook another 2-3 mins until puffed
- Brush with butter while still hot
- Serve warm with butter
