👩‍🍳 How to make Gur Gur Chai

  1. Brew tea: boil water (100°C, 1 min)
  2. Add tea leaves; steep 3-4 mins until dark brown/black
  3. Strain tea into butter churn (dasher) or blender
  4. Heat milk to 65°C separately
  5. Add yak butter and salt to hot tea
  6. If using churn (traditional): pour milk and tea mixture into churn
  7. Churn vigorously for 3-5 mins with dasher until frothy
  8. If using blender: combine tea, butter, salt, milk; blend until frothy
  9. Serve immediately in cups (should be hot, 65-70°C, with foam on top)
