👩🍳 How to make Ginger and Garlic Rice Porridge
- Rinse rice under water; drain
- Heat butter in pot to 70°C
- Add ginger, garlic; fry 2-3 mins until fragrant and golden
- Add rice; stir 1-2 mins
- Pour water; add turmeric; bring to boil (100°C, 3 mins)
- Reduce heat to very low; cover pot
- Cook for 12-15 mins until rice is very soft and liquid absorbed
- Rice should break down slightly, creating creamy texture
- Season with salt
- Garnish with cilantro
- Serve hot (above 60°C)
