👩‍🍳 How to make Ginger and Garlic Rice Porridge

  1. Rinse rice under water; drain
  2. Heat butter in pot to 70°C
  3. Add ginger, garlic; fry 2-3 mins until fragrant and golden
  4. Add rice; stir 1-2 mins
  5. Pour water; add turmeric; bring to boil (100°C, 3 mins)
  6. Reduce heat to very low; cover pot
  7. Cook for 12-15 mins until rice is very soft and liquid absorbed
  8. Rice should break down slightly, creating creamy texture
  9. Season with salt
  10. Garnish with cilantro
  11. Serve hot (above 60°C)
