👩🍳 How to make Dried Yak Meat and Barley Crackers
- Combine barley flour and salt in a bowl
- Rub in yak butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs (1-2 mins)
- Shred dried yak meat finely; add to flour mixture
- Mix in optional chili powder
- Add water gradually, stirring until dough forms (should be stiff)
- Knead gently for 2-3 mins
- Roll out on floured surface to ¼ cm thickness
- Cut into 2 x 2 inch squares or diamonds
- Heat oil in shallow pan to 70°C
- Shallow fry crackers until golden-brown on both sides (2-3 mins per side, 80-90°C oil)
- Drain on cloth
- Serve while still warm
