👩‍🍳 How to make Barley Soup with Herbs and Vegetables

  1. Heat butter in large pot to 65°C
  2. Add onion; fry 3 mins
  3. Add ginger; cook 1 min
  4. Add barley; stir 1-2 mins
  5. Add turmeric, bay leaf, herb sprigs
  6. Pour broth; bring to rolling boil (100°C, 5 mins)
  7. Reduce heat to medium-low
  8. Add carrots, celery root; cover partially
  9. Simmer 25-30 mins
  10. Barley should be tender, vegetables soft
  11. Remove bay leaf and herb sprigs
  12. Season with salt and pepper
  13. Serve hot (above 65°C)
