👩🍳 How to make Barley Soup with Herbs and Vegetables
- Heat butter in large pot to 65°C
- Add onion; fry 3 mins
- Add ginger; cook 1 min
- Add barley; stir 1-2 mins
- Add turmeric, bay leaf, herb sprigs
- Pour broth; bring to rolling boil (100°C, 5 mins)
- Reduce heat to medium-low
- Add carrots, celery root; cover partially
- Simmer 25-30 mins
- Barley should be tender, vegetables soft
- Remove bay leaf and herb sprigs
- Season with salt and pepper
- Serve hot (above 65°C)
