  1. Toast barley flour in dry pan for 3-4 mins at 55°C until fragrant but not brown
  2. Heat milk separately to 70°C (do not boil)
  3. Slowly sprinkle toasted flour into hot milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps
  4. Cook on low heat for 5-6 mins, stirring frequently
  5. Add butter, salt, and cardamom powder
  6. Cook another 2-3 mins until pudding thickens
  7. Add honey once mixture cools slightly below 60°C
  8. Top with crushed roasted nuts
  9. Serve warm (55-60°C)
