  1. Rinse barley under cold water; drain
  2. Bring water to boil in a pot (100°C, 2 mins)
  3. Add barley; simmer on low heat for 25-30 mins until soft
  4. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking; grains should be tender
  5. Heat yak milk separately to 70°C (do not boil)
  6. Pour warm milk into cooked barley
  7. Add chopped apricots, honey, butter
  8. Cook together for 5-7 mins, stirring gently
  9. Season with salt
  10. Serve hot (60-70°C)
