  1. Mix barley flour, salt, turmeric in bowl
  2. Add oil, green chili; mix well
  3. Gradually add water while stirring; form thick batter (like pancake batter, slightly thicker)
  4. Heat oil in deep frying vessel to 70°C
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter (about 1 tbsp each)
  6. Fry 2-3 mins on first side until golden (80-85°C oil)
  7. Flip carefully; fry another 2-3 mins until golden all over
  8. Should be crispy outside, soft inside
  9. Drain on cloth
  10. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt
