👩‍🍳 How to make Barley and Vegetable Soup with Herbs

  1. Heat butter in large pot to 65°C
  2. Add onion, ginger; fry 3-4 mins
  3. Add barley; stir 1-2 mins
  4. Add mixed vegetables; stir 2 mins
  5. Add turmeric (if not included)
  6. Pour broth; add bay leaf and dried herbs
  7. Bring to rolling boil (100°C, 3 mins)
  8. Reduce heat; cover partially
  9. Simmer 28-30 mins
  10. Barley should be tender, vegetables soft
  11. Remove bay leaf
  12. Season with salt and pepper
  13. Serve hot (above 65°C), garnished with cilantro
