👩🍳 How to make Barley and Vegetable Soup with Herbs
- Heat butter in large pot to 65°C
- Add onion, ginger; fry 3-4 mins
- Add barley; stir 1-2 mins
- Add mixed vegetables; stir 2 mins
- Add turmeric (if not included)
- Pour broth; add bay leaf and dried herbs
- Bring to rolling boil (100°C, 3 mins)
- Reduce heat; cover partially
- Simmer 28-30 mins
- Barley should be tender, vegetables soft
- Remove bay leaf
- Season with salt and pepper
- Serve hot (above 65°C), garnished with cilantro
