👩‍🍳 How to make Upma with Vegetables

  1. Heat mustard oil, add cumin and asafoetida, cook 20 sec.
  2. Add ginger and chillies, cook 1 min.
  3. Add vegetables, stir-fry 3 min.
  4. Add salt and water, bring to boil.
  5. Slowly sprinkle semolina while stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  6. Cook 6-7 min until semolina absorbs water and becomes granular.
  7. Stir in coriander.
  8. Visual cue: upma should be fluffy, granular, vegetables tender and visible.
