👩🍳 How to make Roth
- Heat 4 tbsp ghee in heavy pan on low heat, add flour
- Roast flour 5-7 min, stirring constantly, until light golden colour and nutty aroma
- Cool flour mixture 5 min, transfer to bowl
- Add jaggery powder, salt, cardamom powder, black pepper to roasted flour
- Heat remaining ghee with warm milk, pour into flour mixture
- Knead gently until soft dough forms (not too stiff)
- Flatten dough in greased 8-inch round pan or pie dish
- Scatter almonds, raisins, saffron threads on top, press gently
- Cover with foil, cook in preheated 300°F (150°C) oven
- Bake 35-40 min until golden-brown and cooked through (test with toothpick)
- Cool 10 min, cut into wedges, serve warm with ghee drizzle
