👩🍳 How to make Kashmiri Bread Upma
- Heat ghee in large pan on medium heat
- Add cumin seeds, let sizzle 30 sec (fragrance releases, seeds darken slightly)
- Add asafoetida, stir 10 sec
- Add green chillies, fry 1 min until soft and aromatic
- Add carrots, cook 2 min (partial softening)
- Add bread cubes, stir-fry 2-3 min until they start browning and absorb ghee
- Add peas, water, salt, mix well
- Cook 3-4 min on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender and bread is soft
- If too dry, add 2 more tbsp water
- Garnish with chopped coriander
- Serve hot
