👩🍳 How to make Peanut Dal
- Wash moong dal thoroughly; soak 10 min.
- In pressure cooker, cook dal with 600ml water for 2 whistles (10 min).
- Heat ghee + oil (20ml total) in separate kadai over medium heat (160°C).
- Add cumin seeds; crackle 30 sec.
- Add asafoetida, curry leaves; fry 1 min.
- Add coarsely ground peanut powder; stir well for 2 min to toast.
- Pour cooked dal into kadai; add turmeric, red chilli, coriander, salt (5g), sugar; stir well.
- Simmer on low heat (120°C) for 8-10 min. Dal should be creamy, nutty.
- Add lemon juice; stir well.
- Serve hot with rice. Should have rich peanut flavor, creamy texture.
