👩🍳 How to make Lentil and Rice Mix
- Wash rice and all dals separately; soak together 10 min.
- Heat ghee + oil (25ml total) in pressure cooker over medium heat (160°C).
- Add cumin seeds; crackle 30 sec.
- Add asafoetida, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger; fry 1 min.
- Add turmeric; stir for 30 sec.
- Drain rice and dals; add to pot. Stir for 2 min to coat with ghee.
- Add 700ml water and salt (5g).
- Close lid; cook on high heat (200°C) for 1 whistle, then low heat (120°C) for 10 min.
- Turn off heat; let rest 5 min without opening.
- Open lid; fluff with fork. Serve hot. Should be fluffy, creamy, nutritious blend.
