👩‍🍳 How to make Lentil and Rice Mix

  1. Wash rice and all dals separately; soak together 10 min.
  2. Heat ghee + oil (25ml total) in pressure cooker over medium heat (160°C).
  3. Add cumin seeds; crackle 30 sec.
  4. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger; fry 1 min.
  5. Add turmeric; stir for 30 sec.
  6. Drain rice and dals; add to pot. Stir for 2 min to coat with ghee.
  7. Add 700ml water and salt (5g).
  8. Close lid; cook on high heat (200°C) for 1 whistle, then low heat (120°C) for 10 min.
  9. Turn off heat; let rest 5 min without opening.
  10. Open lid; fluff with fork. Serve hot. Should be fluffy, creamy, nutritious blend.
