- Make thin batter (5 mins, no heat): Combine rava, rice flour, maida, onion, green chilli, cumin, coriander, and salt. Add water to make very thin, almost watery batter. Rest 15 mins.
- Heat tawa (3 mins, high heat): Get tawa very hot — hotter than regular dosa.
- Pour dosa (2–3 mins each, medium-high heat): Pour batter from the rim of tawa inward in thin stream — it will create naturally lacy pattern. Drizzle coconut oil around edges. Cook until golden and crisp — do not flip.
