👩‍🍳 How to make Upma

  1. Heat oil to 160°C; add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal (40 sec).
  2. Add curry leaves, green chillies, ginger; sauté 20 sec.
  3. Add onions; fry until soft (1.5 min, 170°C).
  4. Add carrots, peas; fry 1 min.
  5. Add peanuts, cashews; fry 1 min.
  6. Pour water; bring to boil; add salt, turmeric.
  7. Slowly add semolina, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  8. Reduce heat to low; cook 6 min until liquid absorbed.
  9. Color golden with vegetable bits, texture fluffy and light, aroma aromatic.
