- Heat ghee to 140°C; add cumin seeds (40 sec).
- Add ginger, green chillies; sauté 20 sec.
- Add rice, dal; stir-fry 1 min.
- Add turmeric, salt, water; bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to low; cover, cook 15 min until rice and dal soft, liquid absorbed.
- Fluff with fork.
- Color golden-yellow, texture creamy and comforting, aroma ghee-spiced.
