👩‍🍳 How to make Dal Dhokli

  1. Boil water; add toor dal, turmeric; cook 10 min until soft.
  2. Heat oil; temper mustard seeds, cumin (40 sec, 160°C).
  3. Add curry leaves; pour into dal.
  4. Add chilli powder, salt; bring to boil.
  5. Mix flour, turmeric, salt; add oil, water; knead into soft dough (3 min).
  6. Roll between palms into thin cylinders; cut into 2cm pieces.
  7. Drop dough pieces into boiling dal one by one.
  8. Stir gently to prevent sticking; cook 8 min until dumplings float.
  9. Color amber-gold, dumplings soft and fluffy, dal thick.
