👩‍🍳 How to make Tribal Rice Pilaf with Roasted Vegetables

  1. Roast vegetables separately: heat 5ml oil, add carrots, beans, onions, cook 8-10 mins on medium heat (80°C), tossing occasionally, until golden.
  2. Salt and set aside.
  3. For rice: heat 8ml ghee, add cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leaves (45 secs).
  4. Add rice, salt, toast 1 min.
  5. Add water.
  6. Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cover, cook 20 mins.
  7. Mix roasted vegetables into cooked rice gently.
  8. Serve hot.
  9. Visual cue: rice fluffy, vegetables golden.
  10. Heat level: low.
