  1. Rinse rice and dal.
  2. Heat ghee, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger (45 secs).
  3. Add rice, dal, tapioca, vegetables, turmeric, salt, water.
  4. Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cover, cook 25-30 mins, stirring occasionally.
  5. Tapioca should be translucent.
  6. Visual cue: creamy consistency, root vegetable soft.
  7. Serve hot.
  8. Heat level: low.
