- Soak sabudana 20 mins.
- Heat oil, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, onions, chilies (1 min).
- Add dal, drained sabudana, salt, water.
- Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cover, cook 20 mins.
- Visual cue: sabudana transparent, dal cooked.
- Serve hot.
