  1. Soak sabudana 20 mins.
  2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, onions, chilies (1 min).
  3. Add dal, drained sabudana, salt, water.
  4. Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cover, cook 20 mins.
  5. Visual cue: sabudana transparent, dal cooked.
  6. Serve hot.
