  1. Boil water with salt (100°C).
  2. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, asafoetida (20 secs).
  3. Add vegetables, cook 1 min.
  4. Slowly whisk ragi flour into water, stirring constantly.
  5. Reduce to low (70°C), add oil-vegetable mixture, stir well.
  6. Cook 8-10 mins until thick.
  7. Visual cue: porridge smooth, vegetables tender.
  8. Serve hot.
