  1. Rotis: mix bajra flour, water, salt (2 mins).
  2. Divide into 2 balls.
  3. Heat griddle to medium (100°C).
  4. Roll to 5-inch circle.
  5. Cook 1 min, flip, 45 secs, brush oil.
  6. For dal: heat oil, add cumin seeds (20 secs).
  7. Add dal, turmeric, salt, water.
  8. Boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cook 15 mins until soft.
  9. Serve 1 roti per person with dal.
