- Rotis: mix bajra flour, water, salt (2 mins).
- Divide into 2 balls.
- Heat griddle to medium (100°C).
- Roll to 5-inch circle.
- Cook 1 min, flip, 45 secs, brush oil.
- For dal: heat oil, add cumin seeds (20 secs).
- Add dal, turmeric, salt, water.
- Boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cook 15 mins until soft.
- Serve 1 roti per person with dal.
- Visual cue: roti light brown, dal creamy.
