👩‍🍳 How to make Methi Rice with Dal

  1. For rice: heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds (30 secs).
  2. Add onions (1 min).
  3. Add rice, methi, turmeric, salt, water.
  4. Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), cover, cook 18-20 mins.
  5. For dal: boil moong dal with water, salt, ginger (15 mins at 70°C) until soft.
  6. Serve methi rice with simple dal on side.
  7. Visual cue: rice fragrant with methi, dal creamy.
