  1. Mix jowar flour and salt.
  2. Add water gradually, knead to soft dough (2 mins).
  3. Divide into 4 balls.
  4. Heat griddle to medium-high (120°C).
  5. Roll dough ball between palms or on cloth to thin round (3mm).
  6. Slap onto hot griddle, cook 1 min until light brown, flip, cook 45 secs.
  7. Brush oil on cooked side.
  8. Visual cue: brown spots, soft texture.
  9. Serve 2 rotis per person with plain curd.
