- Rinse jowar and dal.
- Heat ghee in pot, add cumin seeds, then jowar and dal.
- Toast for 2 mins (heat medium, oil glistening).
- Add water, turmeric, salt.
- Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low heat (70°C), cover, cook 25-30 mins until grains split and creamy.
- Stir occasionally.
- Visual cue: liquid absorbed, grains tender.
- Serve warm with ghee drizzle.
