👩‍🍳 How to make Dal Dhokli

  1. Boil dal with water, turmeric, salt, ginger, green chilies (20 mins on low heat 70°C).
  2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds (30 secs), add vegetables, cook 2 mins, add to dal.
  3. For dumplings: mix wheat flour, salt, water to stiff dough (2 mins).
  4. Roll thin between cloth, cut into 2-inch pieces.
  5. When dal is ready, bring to boil (100°C), drop dumplings slowly, stir gently to avoid sticking.
  6. Cook 5-7 mins until dumplings float to top.
  7. Add chili powder.
  8. Visual cue: dumplings cooked through, dal creamy.
  9. Serve hot.
