  1. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, onions (1 min).
  2. Add ginger, dal, turmeric, chili powder, salt, water.
  3. Bring to boil (100°C), reduce to low (65°C), add corn, cover, cook 20-25 mins until dal soft and corn tender.
  4. Add coriander.
  5. Serve with rice.
