👩‍🍳 How to make Rasgulla

  1. Crumble paneer finely. Mix with gram flour, baking powder, cardamom.
  2. Knead gently until mixture comes together (should not be wet).
  3. Divide into 12 portions. Roll into smooth balls.
  4. Dissolve sugar in water. Bring to boil.
  5. Simmer 8 mins until clear liquid (1-thread consistency).
  6. Add cardamom, rose water. Keep at 80°C.
  7. Boil water in heavy-bottom pot. Add sugar syrup (1 tbsp).
  8. Gently drop rasgullas into boiling water.
  9. They will first sink, then float after 4-5 mins.
  10. Once floating, cook 4 mins more.
  11. Remove with slotted spoon directly into sugar syrup.
  12. Cool to room temperature, then chill.
