👩‍🍳 How to make Halwa

  1. Soak saffron in 2 tbsp warm water for 5 mins.
  2. Heat ghee at 150°C. Add semolina, roast continuously for 6-8 mins until light brown and fragrant.
  3. Add dry fruits, fry 1 min. Remove and set aside.
  4. Heat milk and water together. Pour slowly into roasted semolina, stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Keep stirring. Mixture will thicken. Cook 8-10 mins at low heat (120°C).
  6. Add jaggery, cardamom, fried fruits, saffron with soaking water, rose water, salt.
  7. Stir well. Cook 3 mins more.
  8. Ghee should be visible on top.
  9. Serve warm in bowls.
