  1. Soak Chira (5 mins, no heat): Rinse chira (flattened rice) briefly in cold water for 30 seconds, then drain immediately — it should soften slightly but remain fluffy, not mushy.
  2. Assemble the platter (5 mins, no heat): Arrange chira, komal saul (ready to eat with no cooking), and soaked bora saul on a banana leaf or plate. Spoon thick cold curd alongside. Scatter grated jaggery and fresh coconut over the rice. Finish with banana slices. Eat all components together, mixing curd and jaggery into the rice.
