👩🍳 How to make Coconut Dal with Fish Pieces
- Soak toor dal 30 min, rinse.
- Pressure cook: dal, water, salt 3 whistles (15 min).
- Release, dal half-cooked soft.
- Heat oil medium (170°C), mustard crackling (15 sec), curry leaves (aroma).
- Onions soften (3-4 min), tomato crushed (1 min), garlic-ginger (1 min).
- Add dal with water, bring simmer (85°C).
- Add turmeric, chilli, cumin (stir 1 min).
- Add fish cubes, cook low (120°C) 12-15 min (fish opaque, dal creamy).
- Add coconut milk (last 2 min, don't boil).
- Cilantro (last 30 sec).
- Serve hot rice.
