👩🍳 How to make Barramundi Steamed Whole Fish
- Clean fish thoroughly, pat dry (removes 80% moisture).
- Stuff cavity: ginger slices, garlic, curry leaves, cilantro (inside abdominal).
- Place on banana leaf (oiled plate works).
- Top with remaining ginger, garlic, chillies.
- Drizzle lemon, soy sauce, turmeric, salt.
- Wrap loosely (steam needs circulation).
- Fill steamer pot 500ml water, rolling boil (100°C).
- Place fish on rack, cover, steam 18-22 min (flesh opaque throughout, flakes easily when pierced, internal 63°C).
- Carefully remove (fish delicate when cooked).
- Transfer platter, garnish cilantro, fresh lemon wedges.
- Serve hot rice.
